What a Metal Roof Replacement Involves

A metal roof replacement means removing or covering the roof you have and installing a steel, copper or stone coated steel system that is built to handle North Texas hail, wind and heat. It fits homeowners who are tired of replacing shingles every time a storm rolls through, and building owners who want a roof they can stop thinking about.

Classic Superoof has installed metal roofs across the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 1992. We are a Gerard Master Roofer, Fabral certified, an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, IB Roof Systems factory trained and a Tile Roofing Institute member, so the same crew can quote a stone coated steel reroof, a standing seam roof, a flat roof tie-in or a composition roof without handing you off to a subcontractor.

Every roof starts the same way: someone from our shop in Haslet looks at the roof, measures it, and writes an estimate you can read. Nothing is quoted from a satellite image.

Compare Metal Roofing Systems

Most of our customers are choosing between four or five systems. This is how they differ in look, life, hail performance and relative cost. Cost tiers are relative to one another, not a price quote.

How a Superoof Roof Replacement Works

  1. 1

    Roof inspection

We walk the roof, check the decking, flashing, valleys and penetrations, and look at any hail bruising or leak history before we talk about materials.

  2. 2

    Written estimate

You get a written estimate that lists the system, the color, the tear-off or recover approach and the flashing details, so you can compare it to anyone else's bid line by line.

  3. 3

Material and color selection at the Haslet showroom

Come by 10555 FM-156 in Haslet and put full-size panels and stone coated profiles next to your brick and trim colors. Choosing a roof color off a brochure is how people end up unhappy.

  4. 4

    Installation

Our own crews install the roof, including the sheet metal work, and we schedule commercial and church work around your operations.

  5. 5

    Final walkthrough and warranty registration

We walk the property with you, clean up, and register the manufacturer warranty in your name so the paperwork exists when you need it years later.

When to Replace Your Roof

After hail

North Texas hail bruises asphalt shingles and knocks the granules loose, which shortens the life of the roof even when it is not leaking yet. If you have filed a claim, this is the moment to price a metal roof instead of the same shingle again.

Age

Composition roofs here often reach the end of their life around the 20 year mark. If yours is close and you plan to stay, a metal system usually ends the replacement cycle.

Leaks

Repeat leaks at valleys, chimneys, skylights and the joints where a low-slope section meets a pitched roof are usually flashing and detail problems. We fix those as part of the reroof.

Selling the home

A new roof clears an inspection item and, on higher-end homes, a metal or stone coated roof is a selling point rather than a line item to negotiate.
